About the LaVérendrye Lanes Team

 

At LaVérendrye lanes, our staff is made up of two groups of people: full time and part time staff, all of whom, are very important for the smooth operation of our establishment.

Our Full-Time Staff:

Denis:

Denis, who has been here for around 22 years, is one of our two mechanics. From Monday to

Friday, he paces back and forth amongst the machines during league play to make sure that they

are working properly. He is also here for all our Saturday tournaments.

 

Gil:

Now (semi) retired! For the last 22 years, Gil has been working the front desk. He works all day
Monday as well as Tuesday to Thursday evenings. Besides working the front desk, Gil sets up the
leagues for each season as well as the tournaments that are held here. During the summer months,
he also serves as our bartender.

 

Marc:

For the last 30 plus years, Marc has been our head bartender. His tasks include serving people in the evenings and ordering all of the bar supplies, thus ensuring that the shelves are well stocked. He works Monday to Friday evenings during the bowling season.

 

Mike:

Mike is our certified pro shop operator. He has been working for 12 years. Mike has a flexible schedule which is based on our needs. The best way to meet with him is by appointment and this can be done by calling him or the front desk.

 

Rene:

Rene has been our head mechanic for 18 of his 21 years here. He works Monday to Friday and during the Sunday tournaments. He is also on call seven days a week. Rene has the added responsibility of ordering all parts needed to keep the pinsetters working smoothly at all times.

 

Stewart:

Stew has been working here for 26 years. He caters to the daytime bowlers from Tuesday through Sunday, as a bartender, as a “mechanic” and assistant to all. He also helps set up leagues and tournaments.

Kira: 
Kira started at laverendrye lanes as a part timer years ago and has come back to take over for Gil on weekday evenings. Kira has also been a bowler for many years bowling in Wednesday night league. You can find Kira greeting you working the front desk or working the bar. 

 

These people work hard to provide you with a good bowling experience. They are the ones that are recognized on a regular basis and are all very good at their jobs!

 

 

Part Time Staff:

To serve our needs on the weekends, we have a very effective part-time staff dedicated to making your bowling experience a pleasant one. Their shifts vary based on our needs. This group is made up of Eric K., Eric P., Evan, Josh, Karl, Reid, Stéphanie, Tyler and Vincent. They work the front desk, the bar and the back, while also keeping the place clean.
